Sydney Harbour at blue hour: the Opera House and the lit city towers across still water on the left, the Harbour Bridge's steel arch sweeping in from the right, a palm tree and an iron fence in the foreground and a single lamp glowing on the foreshore.

Both of Them, Blue Hour

Sydney, Australia · September 2019

Both landmarks, one frame, no boat.

From the north shore, where you get both landmarks in one frame without hiring a boat. A long exposure smooths the harbour into a sheet and lets the cloud drag across the sky; the palm in the foreground did not hold still for it, and I left the blur in. The deck lights on the bridge and the lone lamp on the promenade carry the warm tones against all that blue.
