A jagged dark rock peak streaked with snow rising against a completely white sky, the image reduced to near-monochrome shapes.

Dark Peak, White Sky

August 2018

Sony A9, 140 millimetres, f 8, 1/640 of a second, ISO 50

Two tones, and that is the photograph.

Flat white overcast is usually a reason to put the camera away. Occasionally it removes everything except the shape of the thing you came for, and then it is the best light there is.
