Twin Falls

Hawaii · August 2018

1D X Mark II, 24 millimetres, f 22, 1 second, ISO 100

Two falls, one cliff, and green in every direction.

A twin fall dropping off a basalt lip into a pool, with the vegetation closing in from both sides — which is the difficulty with photographing anywhere this green, because everything is the same colour and the frame turns to soup very quickly. A long exposure smooths the water into two clean white columns and gives the eye something to land on.
