The Bondi Icebergs ocean pool at dawn seen from above, pink light on the lanes and a lone swimmer standing at the pool's edge.

One swimmer beat the sun in.

From the path above Icebergs, the pool at dawn is a sheet of pink glass laid against a grey sea. One swimmer stood at the edge, deciding — the moment every cold-water swimmer knows. I like this place best before the crowds, when the lane ropes are straight and the ocean is still working out what kind of day it will be.
