Regent Street, Ten Seconds

Piccadilly Circus, London · February 2018

1D X Mark II, 24 millimetres, f 22, 5 seconds, ISO 100

Ten seconds of London traffic, stacked.

Stand still long enough at Piccadilly Circus and the traffic does the drawing for you. Each bus that passed left its height and route wound through the frame in red, white and blue; the pedestrians waiting at the crossing barely registered. The buildings hold still, the road refuses to. That disagreement is the picture.
