A tall vertical view of jagged, heavily snow-covered rock peaks and needle spires in low raking sunlight, deep blue shadow on their far faces, a glacier basin below and a distant snow-capped range under a pale blue sky.

Raking Light

Every ridge lit on one side, black on the other.

Low sun coming from the right, so every ridge has a lit side and a black side and the whole massif turns into a diagram of itself. Spires along the crest, a glacier basin below them, and a second range on the horizon for scale. A small frame from very high up, and one that asks to be looked at tall rather than wide.
