Tower Bridge, Moving

London · February 2018

The bridge holds still. Everything else does not.

From the north side with the road curving in from the right, exposed long enough that every vehicle becomes a continuous line. The bridge is lit green and gold most nights, which sits oddly well against the sodium of the traffic. It is a Victorian steel bascule bridge dressed up in stone to keep the Tower happy — engineering in fancy dress, and it works.
