Albert Bridge

London · October 2021

Four thousand bulbs, and soldiers still have to break step crossing it.

The prettiest bridge on the Thames and structurally the most anxious — there are still signs at both ends telling troops to break step, because the resonance of marching feet was thought capable of shaking it apart. It is outlined in roughly four thousand bulbs. Shot from the roadway with a long exposure so the traffic pulls two coloured lines through underneath.
