Blown-out sky, pale shingle beach, and one row of poplars doing all the structural work. I exposed for the trees and let everything else run up toward white — the lake keeps just enough teal to separate from the sky, and the far hills are barely there at all. The stones along the bottom give the eye a starting point and nothing else in the frame is asked to do much.
