A long, gently curving surf beach seen from a grassy dune in hazy golden light, lines of small waves rolling in, a few tiny figures on the wet sand, dunes and pine-covered hills fading into sea mist under a pale sky.

Everything past the third wave is guesswork.

Sea mist and a low sun, which together turn a beach into layers: the wet sand, the first wave, the second, and then the hills dissolving somewhere behind them. The dune grass in the foreground keeps it anchored. The few people on the sand are there for scale more than anything, and they are very small.
